Damola Adepoju was born on 23rd September 1975 in Lagos. He enrolled at the Institute of Textile Technology, Art and Design graduating with a diploma in Art (1998). He later proceeded to Lagos State Polytechnic where he received an OND (2006) and a HND (2011). He is an established member of the Society of Nigerian Artists and a founding member of the Defactori Art studio.
In 2009, he won the Yusuf Grillo Prize for his paintings, which were well received by critics. He has exhibited in several expos at home and overseas, including Caisa Helsinki, Muson Centre Lagos, Dagenham, United Kingdom...
