Olusola Otori

Olusola Otori's exploration of cultural diversity in Africa, along with his focus on religion, spiritualism, politics, and power in marginalized communities, showcases the depth and complexity of his work. He utilizes different mediums like painting, photography and film to express his artistic vision.

By combining natural and vibrant African elements with texture, he not only captures the beauty of African culture but also sheds light on the social and economic disparities that exist using art as a platform for positive social change.

In 2004, Sola initiated “The Silent Majority Project” a creative art and photography workshop for street orphans , socially displaced youth, teenagers in juvenile detention and correctional facilities. The creative workshop identifies the various challenges they encounter and provides sustainable solutions that; harnesses their creative potentials through artistic processes. It also grants access to information required to generate regular financial income. This workshop project has been significantly effective in rural communities both in Lagos, Nigeria and Kampala, Uganda.
